"I like good news! What is it?"
It's GREAT News, actually. The best!
Here it is: God loves you more than you can imagine!
...But for you to understand just why this is such good news, we've got to break the bad news. And to be honest, the bad news is pretty bad. It's about as bad as it gets. Brace yourself.
The Bible teaches that every last one of us, no matter how good we think we are, or try to be, we are still sinners, and as such we deserve God's wrath. Sinners are all under judgment, and can't be in the presence of a holy God. In other words, sin is the problem, and we all deserve hell--to spend eternity in outer darkness.
| But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear. (Isaiah 59:2)
There is no one righteous, not even one. (Romans 3:10)
The wages of sin is death. (Romans 6:23) |
"Whoa, whoa, whoa...Death? Hell? Outer Darkness? Come on! I'm not that bad!"
