| The Hagar Fund!
 The Hagar Fund is named after the handmaiden of Abraham's wife Sarah, and the mother of Abraham's son Ishmael, who was sent away and abandoned by her mistress, yet was provided for by God in His love and compassion.
We at Shield and Refuge want to be an expression of God's love to those who, like Hagar, have fled or have been abandoned with their children, and have nothing, and don't know where to turn.
The Hagar fund is set up to receive monetary donations that will help with providing:
- short-term safe shelter and refuge for exiting polygamist women (and their children)
- immediate physical needs of the same
- assistance for securing necessary services (e.g. legal services)
- assistance in establishing a long-term, secure and self-sufficient living situation
